Teacher
Zahli attended Bond University to complete her undergraduate degree of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Relations and Australian Studies in 2020. During her time at university, Zahli worked as a tutor for young people aged from 6 years through to 17 years. Upon graduating, Zahli relocated to Brisbane to pursue work as a trainer for boarding school staff. Zahli has lived and worked in an all-girls boarding house in Brisbane and enjoyed the diversity that comes with working with adolescents.
Currently, Zahli is completing her Master of Secondary Education at Griffith University and is drawing on her experiences of attending a state primary school and an all-girls boarding school to flourish in her degree. She is majoring in History and English and is extremely excited by the curriculum content and updated resources available for these subjects. Her journey as an educator started when she began a teacher aide position at Clayfield College in Brisbane for the Pre-Prep class. During her time there she learned that individual learning needs must be met, and a plan formulated to ensure every student feels motivated, safe, cared for and positively challenged.
Zahli grew up in Central Queensland on a cattle property which has instilled in her a passion for learning, hard work, and perseverance. Now having made the move interstate to Coffs Harbour, Zahli is excited to participate in local activities and positively engage with new families and students on their learning journeys.
