Meg is a local illustrator and art teacher and parent to two wonderful kids and many small – mostly furry – critters. Meg studied at the Julian Ashton Art School in Sydney and has been teaching art on and off for over 20 years in adult education, private classes, galleries such as the Bunker, and through her own school. Meg teaches cartooning, realism, character design, Manga, Kawaii and Anime styles, portraiture, landscapes, craft and illustration, through pretty much any medium that can be used to make marks. She has exhibited as far away as the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, worked in the NSW Department of Education Gifted and Talented Program in Art and won the Australian Society of Authors Mentorship for Picture Book Illustration in 2009, getting advice from some of Australia’s best illustrators. Meg is deeply committed to giving regional young people the same opportunities in art education as they would find in any city.
