English Tutor
I attended Southern Cross University, graduating in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education (Primary/Secondary), majoring in Secondary English. I have 2 years of experience teaching in both primary and secondary schools in the local area. This year, I have engaged in part-time casual teaching after working as a Disability Support Worker for a year and returning from maternity leave.
In my secondary teaching experience, I have taught years 7-10 and Senior English Studies (Years 11 and 12). Through English Studies, I had the opportunity to design and implement my own program that aimed to engage my class, whilst also meeting their skill level. I have also had experience in teaching an IM (Mild Intellectual Disability) class, where I supported their literacy learning and assisted them in reaching their Life Skills outcomes.
I am married and have a 1 year old son. In my spare time, you’ll find me going on walks with my family (with a coffee in hand, of course!) or camping out in the bush.
I have a passion for education and supporting students to meet their academic needs, and a desire to help shape students into becoming confident and kind human beings.
