Chenoa Wilson

Tutor

Chenoa has been teaching since graduating from the University of New England in 2021 with a Master of Teaching (Primary). She gained her first degree in Languages from the Australian National University in Canberra, where she grew up.

After moving to Coffs Harbour in 2016, Chenoa built strong connections within the local community while working with children for over 10 years as a swimming instructor and nanny. These experiences shaped her calm, patient approach and her ability to build trust and rapport with children of all ages.

Chenoa has taught casually across all primary grades in a range of schools throughout the Coffs Harbour area and has been a classroom teacher for the past three years. She has a particular interest in literacy and is currently completing further studies in Multisensory Structured Literacy (MSL). Her tutoring approach is supportive, explicit, and tailored to each child’s learning needs.

Regardless of the subject, Chenoa is passionate about helping students achieve growth, build confidence, and develop a positive relationship with learning. She takes the time to get to know her students so she can support them in ways that work best for them. Seeing a student finally understand something they have been struggling with is what she finds most rewarding.

Outside of teaching, Chenoa enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, walking her dog, and appreciating good food.
